Today's The Daily Shoot said to take a picture of something that wasn't there. This young lady pulled her hood over her head outside of the office, and I thought, "Aha! Something that isn't there." Now, looking at the picture, I wonder... what isn't there? Her eyes obviously. But, her arms are crossed so she "isn't there" in the sense of being receptive. I wonder how else this shows not being there...

I took a picture of my favorite gadget for The Daily Shoot. Every day, the circulation desk computer and scanner works hard for the library staff. I never think about these gadgets until something goes wrong. Then, I yell at the poor things.

Notice the squirrel watching to make sure I do my job correctly.

Explore negative space. The area between D Wing (where the library is) and the other wings is a great place to explore negative space. It is a roofed asphalt area where one can walk to M Wing, over to a hallway leading to A, B, and C wings, or out to the parking lot. There are many places where the buildings enclose negative space, and I chose this particular angle.
